The Gayathri Peedam Shiva Mandir was established on the 29th of March 2003 to balance the Shakti energy of the Mother so that the temple resonates in both Shakti and Prakrti (Shiva). Every Friday a mrytimjaya pooja is performed with 108 repetitions of the Tryambakam mantra. Linga abishegam is performed during auspicious prayers. This entails washing of the Shiva Lingam with milk, maas, honey, banana, manjal, sugar and other ingredients. Every Thursday at 05h00 linga abishegam is performed by students of the Jadatharaya Yoga Institute.
